It all starts with the latest light-weight tube and fin core from Europe. This is coupled with Cross Country in-house CNC folded tanks that have been the culmination of years of motorsport fabrication experience, then refined even further using computer flow simulation.

This ensures the tanks are highly efficient and provide high even, unrestricted flow to the whole area of the core with no swirl pockets or restrictions. Because the tanks are a hand built sheet aluminium tank they don’t heat soak like cast tanks do. Think of that mass of aluminium in a cast tank being a battery for thermal energy, thick cast tanks store this thermal energy and as a result get to a saturation point (heat soak). For obvious reasons this is very undesirable!

Reducing temperatures while increasing your power, torque and economy is exactly what this intercooler does!

The CrossCountry Intercooler CRD upgrade is a true upgrade that requires a new frame rail to be welded into place so our massive cooler will fit, this new rail is included in the kit, with step by step photos showing the enlargement process. After all it wouldn't be an upgrade if we made a cooler that fits in the unmodified OEM frame, this CrossCountry Intercooler has nearly 4 times the flow area of the OEM intercooler.
